A roman late republican sard intaglio. Bucolic scene.
11 x 16 x 3 mm
Two billy goats, in a bilateral symmetry (one on the right the other on the left), near a tree in center of the scene.
On top of the tree, naturalistic details (bark and leafs) : a volatile. One of the billy goat is rising up toward the bird. Presence of globular elements. Ground line. Slight wear marks. Intaglio executed with high technicity and high sense of composition.
